Since we were incorporated in 2000, initially as IBRA Building Contractors & General Supplies, and later as IBRA Contractors, we have emerged as one of the most respected general contracting firms in Tanzania. Experienced Team Driving Excellence
When I was a very little girl, I was always fascinated by new buildings. I had my little ideas what we could do to improve our house and neighbours houses. Could I ever fulfil that dream? I started off business as a "machinga" or a hawker of second hand clothes in Dar es Salaam.
Through thick and thin, I graduated to making clothes, furnitures and concrete stones among doing buying and selling business. In between I tried farming and marine transport business as well.
One day, one of my clients asked me to renovate his house and just send him an invoice. That was how IBRA Contractors Limited was born and made me find my true happiness as a business person. That was about 24 years ago and there have been no turning back. Since then we have many landmarks in Tanzania that bear the IBRA Contractors name.
Tanzania is a VERY rich country in terms of natural resources. For the last 20 years it has been growing at remarkable rate. One of the sectors which has expanded enormously is construction, which gives IBRA a very big space for expansion.
We are open to partnership with foreign investors, as opportunities for growth are huge.
At the moment IBRA Contractors we are registered Class 2 Building contractors and Class 3 Civil contractors. We have a very solid reputation in delivering quality projects and on time. We are working overtime, to increase our capital base and capacity and move to Class 1 Building Contractors.
